Marketplace allows buying enhancement for unlistable products
Product folder: 2 objects, a few notecards, a sub-folder with 3 notecards Draw it in to the in-game marketplace listings Create listing At this point, it will not appear at all in /merchants/{some_id}/store/products, where you can manage listings, but it does get an ID that is usable on the marketplace, which is displayed in the in-game marketplace listings in parentheses after the name of it, e.g: "My Product (28043434)" Try to be smart to skip the waiting peroid and copy that ID, click any product on marketplace, change just the ID at the end of the url and add ?preview=true Click revise your item You can now buy listing enhancements (I paid for all 4, 7 days, and got charged for it while the product was not possible to list, moneyh gone for 0 impression 0 clicks can i get it back plz) , but whenever you try to save the whole thing, it will say "Inventory link missing" as the sole validation error, or something along those lines This is the point where you should not even be able to get to, but at /merchants/{some_id}/subscriptions (manage subscriptions), you can now see the enhancements you subscribed to, it says it is active and when the next charge will be, but when you click "Edit" in the "Actions" column, it just displays a blank modal, unlike for the valid enhancements where I can indeed cancel them / whatever. The request returns a 404 html response, one of the URLs with this actual issue this day: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/merchants/8006303/store/products/28540654/listing_enhancements/620432/edit?will_redirect=yes I suspect that it had an issue creating that "Inventory link" in the first place, because the sub-folder went in to the listing on the same level as the actual folder I dragged in, so it just got flattened, after I removed that sub-folder and created a new listing, it just worked.

Marketplace: Post-purchase green banner "You purchased..." on individual ad pages is failing, and on those that fail, Account>Search fails also
Steps to reproduce: 1) buy anything at Marketplace, 2) post-purchase return to the same individual ad page, and sometimes there is no top "You purchased this..." green banner, 3) proceed to Account > enter item in search box and results (which I know should be there - I have invoice info saved on some items) do not return the item, 4) still at Account > enter instead shop name or seller name and results do not find the item, 5) finally, scroll back page-by-page if I know the exact date it was purchased and yes, there it is listed, yes has a working Review and Redelivery link. It is not all purchases. But burdensome when large purchases fail to show the banner and find in Account>search (item, or shop/seller), because of potential to re-purchase, and no link to Redelivery when needed. One can scroll back yes, if you just happen to have the exact date sometimes months or years ago, and find the invoice/Review and Redelivery links. But more than a few weeks back is cumbersome and time consuming, and no date makes it impossible. I currently have, if I change the invoice count to 25 per page, 299 pages of invoices. It is both inexpensive items, and pricey items, with no notable pattern when it happens. Today 7/28/26 it was CasperVend's L$3k set/no price split, and thankfully I only purchased it on 7/8 so didn't have to scroll back too far. And I just happened to keep the invoice and transaction info in inventory to know the date and that I purchased at MP. And one doesn't always know within only a few weeks they will need redelivery, so doesn't even know at time of purchase it is failing, until returning months, years later. I count on the banner, or minimally the backup search to work, else the promise of MP "Redelivery" defeated. I went to support first, and was told that this wasn't their area that I need to come here. Kyrie Deka ticket 2502013. In that report Kyrie purchased an item for an alt, and the banner failed to appear (again) on both accounts: Kyrie was using Chrome at MP, and Alt was using Edge at MP. So banner-fail is not isolated to a single browser, or to a single avatar account. Has occurred since about April, and continues. And, finding this failed banner/MP Account>search fail still happening July 2026, even with a MP Casper Warden purchase/Ad, I come to you now. In my case, this has now inserted hesitation to purchase items at MP. Especially pricey and full perm items. *I am inworld and available best by IM for questions, every day EDT. I do not watch emails when I am inworld, so will miss emails. Thank you

Possible Metadata Optimization Abuse on Marketplace
This report was requested by Juniper Linden (please refer to Eliza Linden as well) on the Web User Group Meeting held on July 1st 2026. IMPORTANT A video with listings performance tests can be found on my personal drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10e_BRF7HLOZr55Zfb5FNi6WNrC6oXCgl/view?usp=sharing During my Marketplace research, I observed a pattern that I believe deserves investigation. Based on controlled search experiments, product Titles, Features, and Keywords appear to have a much stronger influence on discoverability than the actual quality or relevance of the product itself. As a result, I believe the current system may unintentionally encourage creators to invest more time in metadata optimization than in improving the products themselves. What I observed Through my testing, I found that a merchant can improve visibility by: Using titles that contain multiple exact-match search terms. Adding extensive keyword lists covering many search variations. Repeating relevant terms in the Product Features section. This appears to create an incentive where understanding Marketplace search mechanics becomes just as important (or sometimes more important) than creating the best product. Why I think this matters As a creator, I would much rather spend my time improving my products than learning how to optimize metadata. Ideally, Marketplace should encourage creators to invest in: Better products Better documentation Better customer experience Innovation Instead, the current incentives may encourage creators to become experts in metadata optimization. From my perspective, this affects both buyers and creators: Buyers may receive results that are optimized for search rather than relevance. Creators who focus primarily on product quality may become less discoverable than those who focus on metadata optimization. I'm not suggesting that metadata should be ignored, it is an essential part of search. Rather, I believe it would be worthwhile to review the balance between metadata signals and other relevance signals, so that Marketplace rewards the behaviors Linden Lab ultimately wants to encourage. In my view, every search algorithm is also an incentive system. The behaviors that Marketplace rewards today will naturally shape how creators choose to spend their time tomorrow.
