Opt-Out

I received an unsolicited IM from an AI bot via a group chat I was in today and what an annoyance. There were 5 full sentences before I saw it, which pushed the 'This is an AI bot' message up off the screen before I read them.
I don't have time here for my friends to IM me often, let alone random AI characters. We need to be given an option to opt-out from any interaction with these things.
I know Philip is a huge AI fan, I happen to loathe it. Create a balance please.

Add me to the 'make it obvious this is a scripted agent/bot' camp.
The "you are talking to a bot" bit at the beginning scrolls so fast that it's easy to miss.
As an example, look at the Caspervend bot account. If you happen to be offline when someone gifts you something from a Caspervend kiosk, it will IM you chapter and verse about your incoming merch, and also tell you to IM it back to get the delivery if it doesn't notice you online and send stuff in ... however long that takes, I think it's 30 minutes. EXTREMELY chatty bot (which is fine) but the "bot" warning at the beginning gets scrolled away very fast. Just having Caspervend's name in a different color or bracketed by "[BOT]" or "[AI]" would be extremely useful in such cases.
(In other matters, how to dissuade rogue bots from porting onto my residential parcel.... )

Maybe agents flagged as bot should have a different name and/or chat color, like objects do (but separate from the color for objects, of course)?

Completely understandable! Will sync with the teams to see where this level of control can be added/updated.
