Re-Activation of Convai Avatar Characters

My experiments with the beta Convai characters in SL demonstrated the viability (and worth and value) of AI-driven characters in SL. In turn, I am keenly interested in the re-activation of the partnership between Convai and SL. Also, while voice activated Convai characters in SL would be ideal, even text-only Convai characters would be appreciated.

I'd like to see AI options come back. I doubt they will though. I think the tech was getting close to being viable, and may even have proven worthwhile as an addition to a prem sub, but I doubt anyone truly thought of the actual cost of AI in SL, and how feature light it would be in relation to Ai anywhere else.
I also doubt an AI supplier would be interested in anything less than a good deal for them, which is unlikely to be a good deal for SL, and probably not even an option for Sl users.
It's been months now since the feature was pulled, I want to be wrong, but it isn't coming back!
