Dear Linden Lab Team,I am writing to propose an improvement to the estate and region management system in Second Life regarding permanent bans.Currently, when a simulator (sim) changes ownership, management, or completely changes its theme, the existing ban list often remains active. This creates an inconsistency: players find themselves permanently banned from entirely new communities or public spaces they have never interacted with, based on past issues with a completely different owner.To improve user experience and retention, I would like to suggest two possible solutions:Auto-Expiration or Ownership Reset: Implement an option where estate bans automatically expire after 3, 6, or a maximum of 8 months. Alternatively, when a region changes its primary covenant or owner, the ban list should automatically reset.Monetized Unban System: Introduce an official system where players can pay a fee in Linden Dollars (L$) to request an unban from a region, which could generate extra revenue for Linden Lab or the current estate owners.Thank you for your time and for constantly working to improve Second Life.Best regards,

Incoming suggestions are reviewed in the order they are received by a team of Lindens with diverse areas of expertise. We consider a number of factors: Is this change possible? Will it increase lag? Will it break existing content? Is it likely that the number of residents using this feature will justify the time to develop it? This particular suggestion, unfortunately, cannot be tackled at this time. However, we regularly review previously deferred suggestions when circumstances change or resources become available.

What? Absolutely not. If I am paying $200USD per month for land, that is MY land and I get to ban who I want for as long as I want. Dont like it? Get your own land.
You are not entitled to my $200USD per month land.
And as mentioned by Toothless if the new owner wants to reset the bans they already can and that is their option and their option alone. Not yours.

The only part of this that makes some sense is clearing the ban list on a transfer of ownership.
But that's something the new owners can do in 5 minutes anyway, should they wish. The rest is a whole pile of no. If I'm adding you to the estate ban list, it's because I really, really don't want you here. Ever. Not for 8 months. Not until you pay for unbanning.

That feels like a bug honestly, it shouldn't be preserved between a change of ownership.

new owners can delete tall lists, access, groups and bans.. ..
paying to be unbanned ?... no that's not a Linden Job but the owners.

I don't want to keep re-banning people who I have permanently removed from my communities. If they want to be unbanned, they can bring it up with me, or someone else in charge. I also don't want to re-ban everyone who is banned just because the covenant gets changed.
If this was a optional ban parameter so that I can ban someone for say, 1 month, sure. But permanent bans are still needed, and should not go away.

Absolutely not. If I ban someone from a estate or parcel I manage, the ban is there intentionally. Having money does not grant the privilege to grief, be toxic, or otherwise break the rules in a region / parcel.
