I would like to see where paid members can acquire a LIST of available linden home plots. Say you like the stilt homes over water, but have a home in a different location, but do not want to "abandon" what you have for something that you may not like. I feel it's like a "roll the dice" of what home you are given after you abandon what you have. So, say you want the stilt over water homes but want to check them out and their locations out BEFORE taking a spot. Right now, the limit for "rolling the dice" with a linden home location is 5 per day. Maybe send the person a list of 5 locations per day/every other day to check-out (with urls) with the option of somehow "buying/taking/selecting" any of those if they like a particular location.
I know I have a home that Ican live with, but I am wanting one in a particular location, but do not want to give up what I have for something possibly worse.

There's a limit to how many homes you can search for in a day. Why can't there be a better way? Today I landed 3 times in the same place. That isn't really 5 options, only 3. Is there a better way to do it? Have a list to pick? Get extra if you land on the same place? Choose between more homes, maybe 10?

I have a strong belief that Linden Labs should provide a real-time map of all available homes, bonniebots did this before they removed scripted agents from accessing the linden home estate. With more residents choosing to get a linden home, it only makes sense to streamline the process and allow anyone to have their virtual dream home!

I've recently experienced this. There is no other way to try and find a new home other than abandoning and choosing another random one. You go to it, check it out, and if you don't like the location you have to abandon it again and pick another one at random. This is such a bad system. I understand the limit, but you limit it without giving users another way to transact. There should be a board in world, or a list showing vacancies so we can visit them first then click something to own it if we don't have a home already. I just went through 5 tries, did not like any of the locations and now I am stuck without a home for 24 hours. But there is no other way to accomplish this.

Getting a Linden Home would be so much nicer if we could visit the property first, and then secure it.
We get 5 chances to find a property and today when I gave up my Linden Home, 2 of those chances brought me back to the Home I just vacated :/ I see all the empty linden homes so Im not sure why this would even happen.

Why does it need to be a dice roll in the first place? As a Basic/Premium/Premium+ member I'd like to walk up to any vacant Linden home, click the mailbox and choose "Move in!". This would abandon my previous Linden home if I had one, take any remaining content into inventory and make the new home my own.

The ability to tp to the home that is available before actually committing would be nice. Then maybe a refresh to take a look at the next one?

Excellent idea. I had to it twice to get a stilt home over water.

AAngel Braveheart I currently have one as well, I can live with where I'm at, it's not the worst.. but I'd love to be near the Rum lighthouse to see it from my porch :) I go by that area every so often to see if there's any open to maybe quickly abandon and be lucky enough to get one... I missed 2 plots that came open 2 days this time :(
