Auto-walk

Currently, if you want to walk, you have to hold down the W/↑ key, which can get annoying and - for people with arthritis, for example - painful. Many modern platforms therefore have an auto-walk feature which makes walking a toggle.
For SL, this would also be a nice feature. You can assign a key, tap it, and you walk until you hit the toggle, W/↑ or S/↓.

This feature actually exists, but I think you only get the option when right-clicking terrain.
Also just FYI, you can walk/run by clicking/double-clicking the right mouse button when your left mouse button is already held down on your avatar.

RestrainedRaptor Resident Indeed.. Unfortunately, it would still require you to do that, which would not allow you to - for example - view the surroundings while you walk (since the mouse movement would make your direction change).
Maybe some viewers will pick it up if LL does not.

Hi. I know there's already options for click or double click (or right click ground, go to) etc. But it would be so much easier if there was a way the viewer could 'simulate' your holding down of the arrow keys. An example is inside a swimmer I have. If I hold down the ↑ key for a while, the swimmer will keep moving me when I let go of it. If I press any other key to do something different (like float or swim backwards ↓), it shuts off and goes back to regular swimming mode. I honestly don't know how it is done. However, if my swimmer can do it, that mean's it's something that can be scripted. And, if it can be scripted, that means it's something that could be added to the viewer as a toggle feature.
