Difference in the alpha rendering of the AUX textures
tracked
Gael Streeter
I would like to apply BOM AUX textures on the lashes of my mesh heads but I noticed annoying differences in their rendering when they are alpha (which is the case for lashes).
Here is an example : https://gyazo.com/a46d41f4fbbbb8588a82c71d69892870
Above, the texture applied directly on the prim.
Below, the texture applied through the BAKED_AUX2 texture.
As you can see the rendering is different. The BAKED_AUX2 is "lighter".
Why is it so ?
For the moment I can not use the AUX textures for my lashes because of that difference...

Hi Gael,
Can you send us a copy of the original texture? You could attach it here or if you want to keep it private, attach it to a support ticket. Please log into https://support.secondlife.com/ and click the "Submit a Support Case" in the right column. File a ticket mentioning this canny issue and attach the image. There's an Attach a file link at the bottom.
Thank you.

Hi Dan Linden Here is the test texture. :) Not very visible here as it is white on white....

Gael Streeter i noticed this too, but it was specifically happening with a targa file. After i tried it with a PNG file the issue seemed to go away
