Issue with High Mouse Polling Rate
Zy Butcher
Hello!
I am a mice collector. I noticed there is a viewer error or limitation regarding certain mouses. When one sets the Polling Rate to anything over 1K, the viewer does not seem to recognize it well and Mouselook and Camming around (Basically when SL takes over the mouse) seem to have an erratic behavior.
Movements become either horizontal or vertical, but not both at the same time, they are also rather slow, as if the viewer was unable to keep up. It's the only piece of software on which this has happened.
I tried with with a Logitech G Pro Superlight 2 and the Keychron M7 8K and both in the Official Viewer and Firestorm Release 7.1.13 (78266)
Here is a video because I could not attach it to this canny: https://streamable.com/cp0h06

Hi Zy Butcher,
I've just acquired a Logitech Pro X Superlight 2 but I'm unable to reproduce the issue you're experiencing: https://gyazo.com/c0d06c8bfd23c4b3a4220b67e66e28ce
Are you hitting this error on other games/applications? I'm wondering if this could be due to your CPU.
Zy Butcher
Atlas Linden No, it doesnât happen in any other apps or games I have tried in the last year. Note that with the GPX2 it only happens ln wireless, wired itâs limited to 1K. I will try it again in a few hours just to make sure.

Note also that the CPU I have is an i5 13600KF.

Zy Butcher: I have found a website to verify what polling rate I'm actually hitting and it seems I'm not able to achieve values above 2600Hz even though I have the setting set to 8000 Hz in the Logitech G Hub app. And I'm using a i9-12900HK CPU.
Do you have any other specific configurations that allow you to hit this higher polling rate?
Zy Butcher
Atlas Linden Unfortunately I only have desktop computers, this is my most up to date hardware though. Mind sharing that website so I can add more info?
I verify it keeps happening also, I tried yesterday on a combat sim with a friend.

I'm don't currently own a mouse with a Report rate over 1000.
Are you using USB wired or wireless?
If you have other USB ports, can you try them and see if it makes a difference? I know some computers have both old and new usb ports.

Dan Linden I was using it wireless on the Keychron M7, but now I tried wired and it happens still. The Logitech does not go above 1K wired. With 1K polling rate it's almost unnoticeable, but anything above that is. I will link two videos:
Keychron M7 (wired USB C) https://streamable.com/fnjki9
Logitech Pro X Superlight 2 (wireless USB 3.1) https://streamable.com/ksmjlt
As you can see, it happens on both mouses. This time I only tried on Firestorm 7.1.13 (78266). Eventually the general public will adopt these type of mouses as they are becoming cheaper and more popular.

Can't repro with my Logitech G502 HERO mouse, but the maximum polling rate I can set is 1000
