Mac : defaulting save folder set to INSIDE app file (Contents/Resources)

Any save as option (e.g. from inventory or snapshots etc) obv allows user to select a folder on their local machine, BUT.. defaults to inside the Second Life app i.e /Contents/Resources. Inconvenient and who saves their files there? A lot of users wouldnt even easily know how to reaccess them (i.e you have to use show package contents etc within finder).
Please can this be defaulted to the more commonly used (for many apps) approach of ~/downloads folder (i.e username/downloads).
Or maybe even (this would be great) a setting can be added in prefs or debug settings for default download folder?
Thanks

Scratch that! Looks like Dan Linden already filed it here: https://github.com/secondlife/viewer/issues/5250 and it might be getting a fix in a beta very soon!

This has been an issue of mine since 2024, with the DeltaFPS viewer.

Good find! I just repro'd this on my macbook. I wonder if when Atlas first checked it in 2024 it didn't repro because maybe it got fixed and broke again?
Not sure, either way Frankk Parisi thank you for the bug report! https://github.com/secondlife/viewer/issues/5499 is a good place to monitor for updates on the fix.
