PBR Mirror Performance

I don't know if this is a fixable problem or something inherent in PBR, but I'm reporting it anyway (especially since I've not seen anyone else running and recording little tests like mine). (PBR is so new that it's impossible to know what's a bug and what's a feature.)
When I move closer to/farther from a PBR object (like a mirror), the reflection seems to respond backwards of what I expect. Meaning: move closer, reflection gets SMALLER. Move away, it gets larger. Or being right in front of the mirror I'm not there at all. I first found this in the Firestorm Beta viewer, but went over to the SL viewer and the issue is identical.
This short video says it MUCH better than I can describe: https://flic.kr/p/2pEMy4C

Currently we don't have mirrors. The reflections implemented for PBR are based on the reflection probe and not on the reflective object. The reflections you see are relative to the center of the probe - which is why they're not moving as expected. If a reflective object is exactly centered in the reflection probe it will sort of act like a mirror - but this is expected behavior.

Ceri Quixote I have to learn more about how ALL that works. Thank you!

Dana Enyo: Mirrors work only with the Featurettes viewer on the Aditi grid right now. You can download the Featurettes viewer from https://releasenotes.secondlife.com/viewer/7.1.4.8270899680.html and look at (and copy) a mirror at secondlife://Aditi/secondlife/Rumpus%20Room%202048/184/20/23

Dan Linden I've applied for access to the Aditi viewer and hope to be able to visit! Seeing the new video makes it obvious the new mirrors are a quantum leap ahead.

Got on Aditi today! I'll check that stuff out ASAP. Thanks!
