Physics not working even when uploading it correctly and setting it to prim

I tried several uploads, the only option for me to make portals like this is to make it phantom. Even when uploading the correct physics, its not working. I even tried to resize its size (it used to be an old bug) but it didn't work either.

Adding an extra note: glb files also have this issue.

Atlas Linden I'm still having this issue. And I can't access the github link so Idk what was the fix or if there was a fix. This really messes with smaller items such as fences, walls, etc. Any news on it?

I noticed you ALWAYS have to analyze now if the object isn't .5 on x, y and z now or the physics doesn't work. I used to be able to cheat by flipping streets on their edge but that does not work anymore.

Hi Burgundy,
I do notice in your 4th gyazo link at the 5 second mark that there is an extra Physics triangle at the base of the model which is odd but may explain what you're experiencing.
Are you able to send your model to bug-attachments@lindenlab.com for us to investigate this further? Models sent here will not be made public.

If you'd like to try out our current Beta that supports importing GLTF models, you can check if this issue reproduces with your model exported as a .GLB file: https://releasenotes.secondlife.com/viewer/7.2.0.16729091892.html

I sent the files.
Tech Robonaught is right, you HAVE to click ANALYSE.
BUT While working for the LDPW making road kits I learned that hitting the analyse would break the physics geometry making overlapping geometry and therefore creating hidden bumps. Can't share any info due to non disclosure but Derrick was aware of this issue when it happened, not sure he shared with you guys. Maybe he can give you more info.
new uploaded mesh - SAME that I sent in the email to you.
LEFT is the mesh without analyse
RIGHT has analyse - but both show the physics as empty in the middle
That triangle wasnt an issue, it was on the floor, just to make sure the height and width of the physics would match the mesh. Simplifying the physics to cubes still keeps the bug active. /
In this case hitting analyse isnt a bit problem, but the bug still exists, the physics shows correctly, but it doesn´t work.

Burgundy Nebula Im using streets right now that didnt need analyze - but that was old viewers - they also didnt have to be .5 on all dimensions, just Z.
Burgundy Nebula
Tech Robonaught Yes! In old viewers you could upload simple geometry physics without hitting analyse and it would work! For instance, the height of the floor (talking about houses) would be perfect. If you hit analyse the avatar would always float, even if the physics showed correctly. It sounds simple but I bet that from the programming side it isn't... I just hope this gets fixed. For simple physics it would be best not hitting analyse, I suspect LI is lower as well (talking about the pieces I usually make)
Tech Robonaught
Burgundy Nebula Streets and tracks are smoother to drive on without analyze so you really gotta be careful about stray vertices or verts clumped together on edges but yeah I hope so as well.
Atlas Linden
Burgundy Nebula: Thanks for sending the file through!
This is definitely odd behaviour so I've now imported here for further investigation: https://github.com/secondlife/viewer/issues/4597
I did also try converting your models to GLB to use with the new GLTF importer support and the same issue still occurs.

Burgundy Nebula Have you tried making the Y size .5? You can literally turn the physics on and off by setting it to the minimum required size on all axis
Burgundy Nebula
Tech Robonaught yes I did. And it didnt work. It was one of the first things I tried because the .5 minimum was an old issue that has been fixed. There was an old canny about that. But the difference with that was that when something was less than .5, the physics wouldn't show correctly either. This time it shows as uploaded. So it is something new.
Burgundy Nebula
Atlas Linden thank you! I hope its something simple to fix 🙏🏻😬
