Shadows are breaking Animesh
Kuva Nishi
I'm experiencing a very odd problem where, when I turn on shadows, animesh characters begin to freeze. The effect ranges from behaving normally to moving only a frame here or there, while others simply stop moving altogether unless I position myself nearly face-to-face with them. This can happen with one or multiple characters within view, and there seems to be no pattern other than shadows being enabled. Turning shadows off restores normal behavior at all distances.
I'm currently using the most recent Second Life Viewer and the latest Firestorm release. The problem occurs on both. Nvidia driver 581.15 (current as of this post).

Hi Kuva.
I'm not seeing this issue reproduce here. Can you tell me where you are seeing the bug or attach a video of the bug happening. Also the full info from the Help > About Second Life may help us with debugging this.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Here are a few Gyazo clips of the problem in action. Also of note, and not sure it's connected, but this takes place on a full region we recently rented and connected to our pre-existing homestead. If I or my partner cross the region border and return to the full region, we lose the ability to edit any objects belonging to others which we have edit rights for.
(EDIT): When placing animesh on our connected homestead, the issue does not exist. Perhaps it's a region bug? The issue is happening on an RC region, and our connected homestead is running Second Life Server 2025-07-25.16512260888.
