Sitting height is now affected by system shoes

I believe the hover issue at log-in, recently solved, inadvertently changed how wearing system shoes affect the sitting height.
This change makes all previously sitting z-axis adjustments (AVsitter) on countless furniture etc, completely useless !
I have a set of system shoes of varying heights, and I pick one that works for different mesh shoes. Think of it like a set of custom hover adjustments. This is desirable because system shoes gets saved with the outfit. As long as i have avatar hover at zero, all my outfits have a 'custom hover' for each of my mesh shoes.
To test this, sit on something and wear system shoes, you'll see the z-axis heigh change (assuming the system shoes have suitable height saved) - take them off and the sitting height reverts.
This change was inadvertent i believe, and should be rolled back/fixed.

I was putting together an outfit with heels last night. I rarely wear them, so I haven't noticed, but the shoebase calculation has definitely changed at some point. Even for non-platform "high" shoes, my feet were under the floor, when they used to be perfect. I had to set the shoebase platform to 100 or give up and use hover height. The calc seems to have changed from (av height/2)+base to (av height+base) /2 for the Z centre of the avatar.

Yorkie Bardeen When do you reckon this change happened? I used to make shoebases for each pair of heels I had and they all match perfectly still, these date back to over two years ago.

From what I can see, nothing has changed with system shoe(base) behaviour. If you make sure they're worn beforehand, they will properly not add to your height when sitting down.
It is true however that when already sitting, taking them off and putting them on causes issues, as explained by another user this is due to shape changes and has always been the case.
In fact, this is one of the reasons why I opted to use the rigged z-offset feature instead, you can find mine here.
That said, this
may
still be considered a bug even if it's always worked like this.Sinful Mocha

As far as I understand the way things work all avatar animations reference avatar centre, which is offset by something like "system shoes" or footshape.
It has always been like this, it is no BUG nor could it be reverted.

I have noticed this as well... agree to fix or roll back.

I agree, Robin.
