On launch of viewer I get the attached screenshot which does

Qie as a workaround in the short-term; I would unpin the shortcut from the taskbar and re-pin the shortcut in the start menu and that
should
stop you from experiencing issues.Qie Niangao
Jellyfish Okay, thanks, but it hasn't recurred and didn't cause any trouble the one time it happened, I just reported it mostly as an anomaly.
(Meanwhile, contemplating making a new shortcut, I went directly to my installation directory and ran the executable, which on launching showed the 26.1.1 release notes (presumably because the last version I'd run was the Flat UI project viewer) but the "About Second Life" Info still referred to 26.1.0 (and the link still went to the 26.1.1 release notes) so I think that side-quest is just that the About Second Life window has a labelling problem that probably isn't worth chasing.)

Tracked this here: https://github.com/secondlife/viewer/issues/5628 we don't have an ETA for the fix, but we will update from that location.

⦠but I also notice that the About Second Life info shows a release in 26.1.0 yet clicking the "Release Notes" link goes to 26.1.1 release notes (https://releasenotes.secondlife.com/viewer/26.1.1.23806384790.html)
Note that I do
not
repro the SLVersionChecker problem on subsequent launches.Should also note I have a SLua viewer installed (26.1.0.21525310258) which is probably unrelated but maybe my installation configuration is more convoluted than normal.
(I also have the "Flat UI" project viewer installed along with a crop of TPVs but that too should be unrelated.)

Qie Niangao: Do you launch the viewer from a shortcut in your task bar or your start menu?
Qie Niangao
Jellyfish in this case it was from a taskbar shortcut
Jellyfish
Qie Niangao: That's what I figured! Thanks
