I wasn't able to repro this issue. Can you make a video? I'm wondering if there's something you're clicking that I'm not.
Bavid Dailey
Jellyfish I don't have a way to take a video while moving the mouse, but I can show 3 gyazos
1) regular snapshot , to prove I'd set a location and saved a photo
2) snapshot floater, I was about to click the green text "Take a 360 snapsh"
3) the result after I did that

Bavid Dailey: Unfortunately that's exactly what we tried, and that didn't work. I wonder if the folder you're saving to has odd permissions maybe? Or maybe your hard drive is full?
Bavid Dailey
Jellyfish No and no. Because its the download folder, and besides the existence of the first photo shows it is fine.
What isn't known is where the 360 logic thinks it is saving to.
Jellyfish
Bavid Dailey: Okay so following the exact steps you gave me:
- World menu -> Snapshot -> "Take 360 Snapsh"
- Save as...
- Saves fine!
The fact that I'm not reproing the issue tells me something else must be going on.
So that means either:
A) There's a step I'm not seeing that's needed for the repro.
B) There's a configuration difference between us that makes it work for me and not for you.
So if you think we're doing the same thing; then the next thing to check would be other settings issues.
- Can you try renaming your SecondLife folder so that your settings are backed up (and restorable) but then running the system in a default state and seeing if it still repros?
- Try deleting the Second Life cache data. (I suspect per your second image that maybe your cache is full)

Jellyfish Hello Jellyfish, i find if i uncheck Hi-Res snapshot from the advanced menu , i can again make 360 snapshots.

Bavid Dailey: We still haven't repro'd this one. It looks like the floater isn't loading right from the screenshot (which is I suspect the cause for the problem) but can we get a log file?
This page tells you where to find the logs folder: https://community.secondlife.com/knowledgebase/english/how-to-report-a-bug-r224/
Next, email the zip file to bug-attachments@lindenlab.com and reference the issue name in the email subject line.
Leave a comment on this canny issue once that's done so we can take a look at the logs.

JellyfishDone.
But i have new information also
On the M2, it now works in the latest FS (I run the nightly), with or without Hi Res.
On the intel laptop, it no longer fails in the SLV , regardless of the HiRes setting.
On the M2, SLV produces the error message regardless of HiRes setting.
For me, working in FS is he result I wanted, but of course there's a clear bug somewhere, and it may return, so i retain an interest in this problem
