WebRTC Not Working For Me
MagusNylrem Resident
I've been having an issue trying to use the new WebRTC voice servers when at sims that use it.
My voice works fine when the sim is still using the regular voice servers, but I can't seem to use my mic or hear others when at a sim that uses WebRTC.
I've tried every troubleshooting option i can and nothing works.
I've tried using other viewers (I use the latest firestorm), including Alchemy, Firestorm Beta, and the SL Viewer.
I've tried restarting my router, my modem, upgraded to windows 11, did a clean install of firestorm, uninstalled Bitdefender, used a VPN, turned off firewall, made SLvoice.exe an exception in my firewall, tried different microphones, and nothing works.
I tried it on my laptop (Its not working on my desktop) and it works there.
I do use an audio mixer for my microphone but that doesn't explain the other mics I've tried.

Thank you for the report, MagusNylrem!
This sound like https://github.com/secondlife/viewer/issues/4004 , which we should have a fix for soon in a Beta viewer. The issue was that the audio interface was set to 192 kHz and WebRTC didn't handle it.
In the meantime, what audio mixer are you using and is it set to 192 kHz?

Thanks, hopefully it gets fixed.
According to my settings, its set at 48 kHZ. I kept seeing things about 192 kHz and tried to look through my settings and was confused why it still wasn't working when its set at 48 kHz.

MagusNylrem Resident: Maybe you are experiencing a different issue, and not specifically the 192 kHz issue. Can you tell us the Name / model number of the audio mixer you are using? There may be a compatibility issue for us to investigate.
