Why after many months of reporting this, do objects simply fail to rez on login.

Log in, many of not most of the objects on my mainland estate fail to rez, requiring me to continually clear cache and relog to have an acceptable virtual experience

I have the fail to rez issue. I log in and many many things that I know should be there are not. Only way that I have found works to get the world right is to hop off to another sim and back again, super annoying when running late for a meeting (just a sec, be right back). I have always used the actual SL viewer and this now happens basically every time I log in. I do not know if it is related, but every log-in I also get a message about my inventory not loading properly, but it has actually loaded, there is no problem I have seen, it is just and annoying message I must clear.

Hi Dan,
PERHAPS ONLY A TRANSIENT EVENT:
I had an interesting twist in my experience today with this issue. Twice I logged in after requesting my cache to be cleared. Both times I confirmed the Clearing Cache message on starting the viewer. Both times there were items (that I own that were on my land) that fail to rez. The third time I cleared cache and relogged those items rezzed.
REGARDING YOUR QUESTIONS (that I missed)
Confirmed: I still find it necessary to clear cache before logging out if each session. Otherwise a large percentage of my rezzed object usually will be "missing".
I did cam around, in and out... and I also used the "zoom" controls (e.g CTRL+ 8, CTRL + 9. and neither had any effect.

Thank you for your efforts to correct this.

Dan Linden, Please help fix this!
I must clear cache each time I log in, in preparation for the next log in, this is the result!

Wendy Nitely: The server fix Leviathan mentioned is still in progress.

Dan Linden Thank you ever so much for getting back to me! I am sighing a huge exhalation of relief that this is still in-work!

Dan Linden, In recent weeks my "failure to rez" issues seems to have disappeared... Did I miss a server release notice or...?
Dan Linden
Wendy Nitely: It's nice to have a bug fix confirmed by a resident! The 2025-09-16.17777995432 server release (https://releasenotes.secondlife.com/simulator/2025-09-16.17777995432.html) mentions that "server#1873 Objects not loading at login on Lagland" was fixed which appears to be the same bug you were seeing.

Good news: we were able to use Dan Linden's repro recipe for this bug to figure out a server-side fix. We expect the fix to be included in a server update: late May 2025 or early June.

I was able to reproduce missing objects on login and wrote up the details at https://github.com/secondlife/viewer/issues/4001#issuecomment-2843787898
If anyone else has a solid recipe to reproduce this bug, feel free add it either here or on that github issue. Please include the environment (Help > About Second Life) , the steps to trigger the bug and a picture highlighting whatever is missing.
Wendy Nitely the next time you see objects missing, please try zooming in and out and see if that causes the objects to appear. Also, try relogging without clearing the cache and see if the objects load fine the next session. This will provide clues to which system is misbehaving.

Dan Linden, I finally provided an answer to these questions in a recent comment. Sorry I missed this earlier

Dan Linden,
Confirmed: I still find it necessary to clear cache before logging out if each session. Otherwise a large percentage of my rezzed object usually will be "missing".
I did cam around, in and out... and I also used the "zoom" controls (e.g CTRL+ 8, CTRL + 9. and neither had any effect.
Also I did try relogging without first clearing cache, I was somewhat surprised that in this case the problem worsened (i.e. there were even more item missing from the table top).

Ive reported this so many times in the last 5 months, no one seems to ever take the issue serious and just comes back with clear your cache. Main viewer is the worst for it I'll have entire mesh objects, platforms completely missing.
