Problem when creating an AI character for the first time despite a Premium+ subscription
vincent Weigler
Good morning,
Being a subscriber to the Premium+ offer, it seems to me, based on the information available, that I should be able to create AI characters. I followed the instructions indicated, created and configured an alternative account, filled out the form... but nothing helped.
In the third step, I always get an error message:
“Error — Error creating character.”
Thinking it might be a temporary problem, I waited for two weeks, but the situation did not change.
I did the following tests:
Attempt on different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Firefox, Edge, Brave), with and without private browsing;
Clearing the cache and cookies;
Disabling all browser extensions;
Verify that all fields in the form are filled in (even the optional ones);
Attempt with multiple character configurations;
Creating a new Alt account
the error persists.
When consulting the developer console (F12), here is the exact message received:
POST https://characters.secondlife.com/api/bot 400 (Bad Request)
This suggests that the request is rejected by the server itself, perhaps due to a misinterpreted field, or a validation bug.
I also don't see a possibility to create a ticket on this subject on https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/
Can you help me resolve this issue?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Have the same issue. I also didn't create or delete an AI NPC before.
Very frustrating, I can still save the background story and keep clicking - but then on the next form I only get the error message without any reason. So I have no clue why the character can't be created.
