10k Land Impact Homesteads

Hello,
I have been talking with a lot of colleagues and we’re all in agreement. We would LOVE to see a 10k land impact Homestead option in Second Life. As mesh objects become more detailed and feature rich, it would be amazing to have a little more room to work with! We’re not asking for the 5k land impact homestead to go away, but simply to add another option. We completely understand the price would be increased a little from the 5k homestead, and that seems completely fair.
We know the 20k land impact full sim is an option, but that’s a bit of a leap for us and I feel another step in between the two options would be great! Not just for us, but I know many multi-sim community owners would jump at this option! Not always do you need a full region for things. Sometimes something a bit smaller fits the need!
Please let me know what you think!
Thank you for your time!

Nice idea, I've wanted that for years, but LL make a ton of cash when people are forced to move to 20 sims.

A well-built 5k Homestead can already look amazing in the right hands. Still, a 10k LI option would unlock even more potential for detailed, carefully optimized builds, without the need to jump to a full region. That extra headroom would be fantastic for creators who really push what’s possible.
However, fully packed 20k regions often become unnecessarily laggy, while a 10k LI option would be a far more balanced middle ground.

A 5k Homestead works fine for many builds, but with modern mesh content it can feel tight quite quickly. A 10k LI option would offer more flexibility and breathing room, without forcing people into a full region. It would be a very welcome middle option.

Still no movement or improvement on this? Residents have been asking for this for literally years. I dont understand.

Support, but preferably just as an increase from 5K to 10K LI for the current plan. Perhaps, a 5K option could still exist, but be cheaper... I think this would be fair. I'd hope it would allow more people the opportunity to own land and expand the creativity/longevity of Second Life. It's true that objects are becoming more featured and detailed. While control and privacy are a big bonus, something does feel off about the balance of the pricing, compared to mainland tiers and server costs.
I agree that the jump is too high between a homestead and full region. I'm a new homestead owner and I've tried as best as possible to spread out everything across the space of my whole region, while being cautious of the limitations through what I rez, etc. and I've still found it difficult to keep everything looking natural and nice without having empty areas and running out of my allocation.

I strongly support adding a 10K land impact homestead tier in Second Life.
In real life, I work in marketing, so my apologies if this sounds like a pitch. But this feature is more than a convenience for users; it’s a smart business move.
The current jump from 5K to 20K is simply too steep for many creators, community owners, and small businesses. A mid-level option would give us far more flexibility without forcing anyone into the cost and scale of a full region.
Here’s why it matters:
Bridges a big gap – 5K prims is often too restrictive, especially when building immersive environments, detailed landscaping, or group spaces. But 20K is more than many projects need if they’re not ready for a full sim. A 10K tier hits the sweet spot that is currently missing.
Drives growth and retention – It creates a natural stepping stone for users to scale their projects. That keeps existing residents engaged and experimenting instead of hitting a hard ceiling and losing momentum.
Attracts new users – A mid-tier option lowers the barrier for ambitious newcomers who want to build something substantial but cannot justify the leap to a full region. That makes Second Life’s land system more approachable, and that is not just a technical improvement but a marketing asset Linden Lab can use to grow the platform.
Increases revenue potential – A pricing tier between homestead and full region unlocks upgrades from users who would not otherwise move to 20K. That is new revenue without cannibalizing existing tiers.
Helps future-proof the grid – More granular options make it easier to balance load, manage resources, and plan for long-term scalability.
This is not about replacing the 5K option at all. That makes sense for some users. But it creates a sweet spot on the ladder so more people can climb it. A 10K homestead tier is a win for creators, for the community, and for Linden Lab’s bottom line.

Just to add - I had a 30k sim for a while and gave it up because we just weren't using all of it and it didn't make sense to pay for that. 5k was too small so now we are exploring other options and games.

I’ve wanted this for years and I’ve watched these threads come and go. With the way things are right now it feels like it’s needed more than ever. A 10k homestead would be the perfect middle ground. Enough prims to actually build and decorate without having to stretch all the way to a full sim. 5k is too cramped and 20k is way too big of a jump.
I know people say “can’t play, then don’t play” and I get that to a point. But the truth is real life bills are always going to come first. That doesn’t mean I stop wanting this, it just means I have to juggle it differently.
To be real, I’d love to see a 10k homestead offered at the same price we pay for 5k now. I know in LL’s eyes that might sound like asking a lot, but from the resident side it feels reasonable, especially when real life expenses will always trump Second Life. And there are plenty of other games and even other open sim grids that don’t cost nearly this much. Second Life is still the most popular with the strongest community, but the pricing is extreme compared to what else is out there.
What makes it sting more is that so many of us are loyal members who pour thousands of Linden into this world every month. We’re not asking for freebies, just fair options that make sense. A 10k homestead at a fair price would show some respect for that loyalty and make the dream of a private island realistic instead of out of reach.

The pricing would need to be adjusted, as someone mentioned earlier. I also agree that the current price for a 5K homestead is overpriced slightly. And as another mentioned, there's no in between from 5k to 20k. I would love to have a 10k Homestead and I believe it should remain the current price of what the current 5K homestead is.

I would prefer the price of the 5k homestead be lowered. (it's too expensive for what you're getting) And a 10k option added at the same price as the current 5k or bit over it.
