How would you like the feature to work?
I would like an option, either a viewer general option .. or an option in the build window, to quickly and easily disable the pbr material to render, so the non pbr material is showing off instead. (either for a particular object, or a general options in the viewer .. or both ...).
I'm not talking about removing the set materials, and putting them back later .. of course. (as currently this is the only way i see , but it's out of the question of course as it would be very painful and time consuming, and not accessible for my customers anyway).
If there is such feature and i couldn't find it, well please let me know
Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?
As a creator, i am currently updating my products to support PBR material. My products will support both classic lighting and pbr, as i don't want to let people behind. My products visuals, for the most part, are customizable by the customer via a on touch dialog that will offer the customer to edit material general settings as well as non pbr and pbr specific settings.
Currently, i am facing a problem when i have to constantly switch between viewers to see how the product look with and without pbr. So, unless i missed an option, i can't find a way to stay in a pbr viewer and just see how it looks without the pbr material.
Also, as my products will support both rendering methods, my clients will suffer from the same problem. If they are using the pbr viewer, they won't be able to fine tune the rendering for unfortunate people who can't use a pbr viewer ( which will be a non negligible part of people until they can afford a more modern hardware ).
So considering we will be in a transition period from non pbr to pbr for an undefined period of time, i think this feature will be good for creators, their customers, and for every people visiting their sims.
