Add a "General Manager" to the estate menu

Add the position of General Manager to the estate menu with the ability to add / remove estate managers and to upload terrain files (only upload due to copyright protection). They should also be able to bake terrains.

This would be great to have the option, though I would maybe suggest adding a check box or something beside each estate manager listed to give them the extra powers on the region rather than just having the option to add just one general manager or if it is new slots going to be added, for at least 3 avie slots for this maybe?

I'm not sure "only upload" would be good. Copy protection means nothing when a script can drag terrain height levels out, just a lot slower than letting EMs up/download RAWs as they please.
One of the main points of the import/export functions is being able to back up your terrain once you're done playing with the terraform tool. If you can't do that because you aren't Lorena Chung and you only rented the region from them, then that's removing most of the reason for letting EMs (or a GM, whatever) access that feature in the first place.
Not to mention that as landowner, you should trust your EMs with the power of an EM. If not, why are you giving them EM rights?
Vanity Bonetto
Toothless Draegonne Well, granting EM rights doesn't have much to do with trust. EM rights aren't only for estate managers running my business. We grant EM rights to every resident (and even their friends on request) renting a full homestead or full prim region to enable them to restart their regions, to upload their own terrain textures and to give them access to their estate access tab, but that doesn't mean I trust them with my copyright protected terrain files.
And yes, there are scripted gadgets which can read out terrain height levels, but just because a window is open on the 2nd floor doesn't mean I will no longer lock my doors. Not every Bill, Bob or Joe has them and the easier you make it, the more often you will be abused.
Toothless Draegonne
Vanity BonettoThat's exactly why it's kind of pointless. The tools are out there. The cat is out of the bag. It's trivial to rip a terrain map. It's just not "hit export RAW" easy.
I've rented several regions in my time, and the problem with baron-owned is that after spending all that time terraforming, you have to ask the landowner to import/export the RAW or use a terrain-scanning tool to do it for you slowly.
Trust me, your copyright protected 256x256 bitmaps are probably already ripped, along with variations of, by people who've spent effort of their own making a region look like they want it to.
It's no reason to punish the innocent many. You're also pushing people toward just renting direct from LL instead of via yourself; RAW import/export and being able to link, delink and move regions as I please is why I now do just that myself.

I think this would be an excellent idea, not only will it help estate owners with lots of regions, but also people who want to own a region and need someone to landscape for them.

Zorah Zapatero Ty so much Zorah! 🤗

Yes! It is a lot of work for one person to have to do all these things on their own in a larger estate. Would help improve the boss's mood, I'm all for that! :D

Very Good Idea !!!!!

It's a fantastic idea to have the ability to name someone that works with us/for us, to be able to do those things only we can do currently. Estate Owners aren't always 100% available and having someone we trust completely to handle these types of tasks for us, is really worth a consideration by LL.
