Allow/Disallow links chat/groups options

Would it be possible to give users a way to disable (make text only) links that are not SL supported or that do not fit a defined pattern? Supported links could include SURLs, MP, major Social Media platforms (insta, flickr, discord, primfeed), etc.
If this is not feasible, would it be possible to give group owners a perm they can set for roles to allow/disallow posting of links? Having the option to allow but filter for supported links would be great, but again, if that's not possible, i can understand.
This would at least give us some control over what keeps happening with malicious links in chat. i understand it would not be foolproof, but it could be a layer of protection added.

Title: Prevent Scam Links: Option to Block Links in Group Chats
Details: Scammers are increasingly targeting Second Life groups by posting fraudulent links that closely resemble the official SL Marketplace but contain slight alterations. These deceptive links compromise user accounts, leading to potential financial loss and security breaches. This issue is not isolated to a single group—it is affecting numerous store groups, creating frustration among users and placing an unnecessary burden on group owners and moderators.
To enhance security and protect the community, I propose a feature that allows group owners to disable link sharing in group chats. By implementing this option, we can significantly reduce the spread of scam links, safeguard users from phishing attempts, and maintain a safer environment for both businesses and residents. Giving group owners more control over chat content will help prevent fraudulent activities and uphold the integrity of Second Life communities.

Food for thought on this one - adding this based on Philip Linden asking me to add these details here:
Can we make it to where SURLs still be allowed? Or an option that the Group Mods can turn off or on? Loosing the ability to post an SURL, for Groups and Events, is a huge loss for a lot of the SL resident base.
A great example is the Philips 'getting dressed' videos - how will people invite group members to things like that moving forward? I'm thinking specifically about like role playing groups, clubs, event based groups, or game, etc.
No links means no YouTube videos ever - even videos designed to help new residents or walkthroughs.

I did upvote this feature request, but I would additionaly recommend adding a new "Trusted Links" section to the Group management features, as I feel blocking all external website links could be restrictive and damaging to group communities.
The group owner(s) and moderators could use a new Trusted Links section to compile a list of acceptable genuine websites which would automatically filter in/out the genuine and fake links which Group Chat members currently use, such as Marketplace (the real one!), YouTube, Gyazo, Flickr, Google etc.

Title: Group members cannot post web links in group chat unless allowed
Details: Add a checkbox for "Can send web links" to groups that can be tied to a role. This was suggested in a user group meeting yesterday, and I am copying it here.
The goal is to prevent phishing exploits in group chats.
