Allow sub-folders in Outfits
planned

Reinstate creation of sub-folders in Outfits. This was allowed until fairly recently. People end up with a large number of outfits in a single list and cannot classify them by type, color etc.

You used to be able to create sub folders in the parent directory of various specialized system folders. Now you cannot. I would like that functionality returned to allow for inventory management.
Currently if you have preexisting folders in these directories you are able to create new subfolders within those folders but unble to create new ones in the parent directory.

I guess there is a trick for creating a folder in Outfits folder... open Outfits folder in new window > click plus sign at the bottom > create new > folder

OMG, YES. THIS. I miss having this option. Thankfully I still have folders in my main Outfits folder from before this change was implemented, and I can create subfolders using those, but I miss being able to actually create folders on the main Outfits folder. It would be SO helpful for those of us who don't use the appearance menu, and to sort through outfits properly, and efficiently.
I would upvote this change a million times over if I could because I REALLY miss this feature. Why it was taken away from us is mindboggling to me.

this would be life changing for me and lot of avi shifters. We have pictures now previews which is amazing but those of us who are human, fantasy, nonhuman and also furrys we have diff heads/mods/sonas but then tons of outfits FOR that avi "base" for example:
I have six looks for X head with X mod. some even more, imagine how many outfits that is to scroll thru and or figure out where something is. Half the time I go, "is this worth an outfit save slot for?" And I don't like that.
It would help people shift from looks to look to enhance Sl experience. Examples below:
Roleplayers: Who have say have specific sims they have X looks for. They can name the folder "X sim" etc. then it won't clutter their "main" folder"
Creators: Who have say a folder for X looks for a brand or a specific ad that they save so they can go back to it when needed or tell someone where something is from or reuse to re-make an ad say for updated bodies support or new features/colors.
Bloggers: This would help ppl save spec look bases into categories for easier time marketing and finding looks to promote their works as well as be able to have easier time with "credits" for items they blog!
Average person: This would help make it more user friendly to have outfits work AS folders. One thing that persists that I hear a LOT of is the fact that the system won't allow copy and past of new items and they find the outfits hard to navigate. A lot of people also want to update the avi outfits folders in mass such as adding a new version or new item or hud they want for ALL outfits. You have to one-by-one copy, and open folder in inventory and paste as link. You can't do this in mass by selecting all the folders and pasting. I know this is an addon to this existing request but I think these kinds of things will make it operate more as a reg folder which will help people understand how to navigate it better.
Lastly, I think having a way to "copy" the outfit or duplicate would help as well, you cannot "cut/copy/paste" an outfit folder as a reg folder for backups- you need to drag it one by one to another folder. So say you have tons of outfits that are broken and outdated but you dont want to delete them as you may need them later, this can be a hassle. If we do allow folders of outfits this would semi fix this because we could create an "archive" outfit folder within outfit directory and just stuff them in there! <3
Hope this is planned in near future. Would def help me big time!

VERY IMPORTANT= PLS add this into the main outfit appearance window, via double clicking would open the folder and allow us say a picture to save for that folder like we do now but for individual outfits- Because then we can make an image that says "CATEGORY OUTFITS" and then know what that is- esp because text cuts off and readability accessibility wise is very difficult at times!!!

I'd upvote this a thousand times if I could, I have to recycle current subfolders and it's not a good solution.

I've been dragging all of my outfits out of the outfits folder into my clothing folder under the relevant OC folder subgroup, being able to organize within the outfit folder would be nice, i miss it.

This would be amazing, for all those different avatars/OCs that add up over the years.

Signal Linden Please be sure to add "Add Outfit" and "Remove Outfit" right-click features to sub folders. These are features which already exist in third party viewers.
