Allow to add names to estate / region ban list by dropping a notecard
Vanity Bonetto
It would be very helpful to be able to add a large number of usernames to the region ban list by dropping a notecard containing all names instead of adding them one by one. It would be a) faster and b) more secure in case the list gets erased for some reason.
Over the past few weeks, our ban lists got vaporized 3 times when concierges made a mistake while separating / adding a region to / from a larger group of estates and there's literally no way to restore it. now someone has to type in several hundred names one by one to protect our residents and it get's lame. thank you!

This can be done with scripting. Contact me if you'd like a solution.

Scripts can be written to read notecards or read information from other sources, scripts also can add people to ban lists.
While I am not a fan of any sort of linked banning system that is shared across many estates with unassociated owners of said estates (they can be abused and have been in the past). I would suggest one that you have full control over and doesn't use any source of information outside your own, or have written just for you in this case as the solution already exists.
Perhaps something that you can transfer residents on your block list all at once to your parcel or region would be nice though.

While it's an interesting idea, it also opens up a huge security hole.
If someone were to figure out the API for reading the notecard contents, they might be able to trick an estate manager into submitting data that whitelisted the hacker and/or banned everyone else in the region. Or, they could submit batches of names to 'scroll' the list, removing older entries for real residents who had been banned previously. We've seen the uptick of disposable accounts (mostly used as bots or scammer zombies) in SL of late. So there's an unending supply of names to use for this purpose.
I do agree that the current system is ... unwieldy. However, I don't think that a notecard dump would be an appropriate solution.

Can not be done, also one can simply add name to a notecard and do a copy/paste.A note card is basically an object.
