Allow unmuted autoplay of media in internal browser (chromium)
Fruhstuck Resident
Since Youtube changed embeded videos to only be able to be played in an iframe or by using their API, not put directly in a browser window, you must now implement Youtube with an iframe. Howerver, you cannot let videos played automatically unmuted. Only muted. This is due to restrictions of the browser engine. But you can turn this feature off and allow autoplay with sound. It is a flag. SL should run the internal browser with this flag so you can create TVs again which autoplay youtube videos with sound.

Before this is considered, the media volume slider has been broken on mac, off and on, for quite some time. I think it depends on the CEF version. Currently it is broken: https://feedback.secondlife.com/bug-reports/p/mac-media-volume-slider-is-broken
Enabling unmuted media autoplay would lead to many users to disable media entirely, unless the volume control is fixed at the minimum.
Possibly, even that wouldn't be enough, since unmuted autoplay is disabled by default in chromium
because
it is disruptive and most people don't like it.At minimum, the existing bugs with media audio should be resolved, and this should be an option folks can enable/disable.
