Allow user to hide gesture chat

Gesture chat spam in crowded areas is very disruptive and problematic for screen readers and translators. A simple toggle should be added to the viewer that filters chat instantiated by gestures from local chat.

I hate gestures so much. I've hoped and wished for two decades for the ability to turn them off so they don't spam my local chat. Lindens, please PLEASE make this a thing. I beg you!

Gesture chat - the bane of my DJ existence!
I've actually asked hosts at parties to not spam their noisy gestures because not only does it drown out the music I'm streaming to parcel audio, it also scrolls local chat where we may be playing games. The last thing I need is for a trivia question (with a prize attached for the winner) to get scrolled off and my voiceover for it drowned out because Party Animal spammed "HOOOOOOOO!!!" sixteen bajillion times.
I'm also not one of those DJ's with a soundboard full of sound effects that spams them into the stream indiscriminately. That practice, in my opinion, is Just As Annoying as gesture spam, and I'll typically leave a party when someone's doing either of these things.
So a "no gestures" filter would be useful, either per parcel rules, group permissions, or filterable per offender like Block or Derender.

Are tummy talkers still a thing? If so, can we add those to the ban list as well?

Turn that shit off NOW

The toggle should also be added to the parcel options so the owner of a parcel can completely disable gestures on that parcel. Possibly it could be implemented like the "fly/build/object entry/run scripts" options by giving the owner a choice between nobody, a group or everyone.

I have developed a dislike to spankers and clickies that people wear in public because they play a loud, obnoxious scream or squeal, and some seem to hit them like 20-30 times at a time, flooding a chat with green text with "X spanks Y's fat ***!" (or equivalent obscene text not suitable to be posted here). It would be nice to have an option disable text and noise spam from avatar-worn clickies.
The worst part about this that blocking the guilty party (the clicker) does not stop them from spamming more so I have to block the target.

I would like to see this cover any object/attachment chatting in local, as well, such as various "shoulder pets", some of which lately have been getting hooked up to AI and dumping slop blathering into local chat

Do note that this would also block RLV chat relays and various translation tools. I mean, fine if that's what you want, but don't be surprised if you start seeing a lot of half-a-conversation in local chat.

Toothless Draegonne It'd be fine, the checkbox to click it back on when needed is easy enough to click. :D But sometimes...you really just get fed up with people spamming spankers and kissers and the like
