An additional group check box 'Not to receive group notices while off-line'

I have a number of groups, as well as clubs I belong to where I am not interested in notices while off-line as they are notices of events about to happen. But I still need to receive these notices while i'm on-line.
As a DJ, I get lots of off-line notices from other DJ's of their sets even while I'm asleep and off-line. I would like an extra check box so I can still get notices of events while I'm on-line but not collect past notices I am no longer interested in.

This is not a thing that's handled viewer-side. It's been handled in your dashboard on the Second Life website for years now, and will remain intact regardless of what viewer you use.

Lucifera Morningstar Well, one thing is that he never mentioned email, so
maybe
he simply doesn't want dozens of irrelevant notices in his viewer when he logs in, but still wants to get them when he's online, which is a really reasonable expectation.The other thing is that the way he phrased it, it pretty much means that he would like this control for each group individually, not necessarily one setting applied to every group he's in.

Good idea but I kinda envy you for this, I almost never get my offline group notices, so they don't go to email either. I get a few that are completely unimportant (and events while I'm offline anyway) while I miss the important notices I should see.
I think we need a "fix group notice delivery" button, too, that we could hit a few dozen times each time it doesn't work.

There are also groups offering things on sale at reduced prices for a limited time. This option would be useful for a member of such a group as well.

You can set that up on your dashboard. Under Change email settings/Change group notices settings. You would still receive all notices while online.

AlettaMondragon Resident. Personally, i have most group notices off especially for any clubs i visit. If i want to see what is going on while logged in, i check those groups. What happens while I'm offline doesn't interest me.

Thank you for taking the time to write this up — the request for a per-group option like “don’t deliver group notices while I’m offline” (so you still see timely event notices while you’re logged in, but don’t accumulate outdated ones overnight) makes a lot of sense, especially for DJs and event-heavy groups.
We did find this is a duplicate of an older request from Second Life’s previous bug tracking system, and we’ll be tracking it under

. We’re marking your report as tracked and linking it to that issue so your use case (avoiding offline notice buildup while still receiving notices when online) is included in the ongoing record.We don’t have an ETA to share, but please keep an eye on future updates, and thanks again for helping improve the group notices experience.
