Avatars not rezzing or appearing grey

I'm at this location: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Beausoleil/169/33/27 and some avatars are not rezzing at all, or appear greyed out. Numerous reports for others around me and in support groups who seem to be experiencing the same issue

Though I am not certain, this sounds more like an issue in your graphics settings. I Firestorm, press Ctrl-P for preferences, then go to graphics and raise the maximum avatar complexity.
