Better Failed Restore Message
Pazako Karu
If you restore an item using 'Restore to Last Position' and it fails, you get the message "Cannot restore object. No world position found."
This doesn't tell us
which
item failed.Log In

"No world position found" means, the item doesn't "remember" its previous position so it can not be restored that way. This is different from the permissions issue at <0, 0, z>.

Apparently this is a Firestorm only feature.

Unfortunately, at this point unless you own the property at 0,0,0 on the sim you can not restore to last position. Which, to me, means that option should be removed from the standard list and only put on full sim landowners options.

deesue Parx You just need rez rights at that location, which is a bug for sure, but certainly no reason to remove it from everyone's options. You
can
go to a another sim with <0,0,0> rez rights, and 'restore to last position' there if you need to break apart the coalesced items.deesue Parx
Pazako Karu I am a bit confused. Maybe I don't understand your issue. If you are wanting to just rezz coalesced items, you can do that in a public sandbox.
Restore to last position is what I was referring to. You would not be able to do that on another sim. Most places I have owned land on (specifically mainland) you don't have the option of getting rezz rights to the 0,0,0 area. It is different if you, or the person you rent from, own that sim or it is a privately owned island. Then permissions would be a great thing.

deesue Parx Oh the primary issue is recovering the location on the original sim, using 'Restore to Last Position'. I rarely encounter mainland unless at my home, so I forgot about how its usually set.
I suppose I was being pedantic when I said the 'Restore to Last Position' button works even if you're in the wrong sim for it, assuming you can rez it there. I suppose the only use-case for that would be cloning a build in another sim, position and all.
