That 'junk' is a SLURL.
SLURLs use the secondlife:// protocol and allow for communication between web browsers and your SL client, and when in the viewer, allow for quick access to resources in SL, be it teleport locations, user profiles or other things.
secondlife:///app/agent/ is a SLURL type that brings up the profile of a user - whose serverside presence is called an 'agent'. the numbers and letters following it are the UUID of the user in question. The UUID serves, as UUID stands for - Universally Unique IDentifier - as the identifier of assets in world, be it objects or avatars. Think of it like a Social Security Number for your avatar - everyone has one, and it's tied to their person.
That being said, either having the mail server parse messages to clean up secondlife:// URLs and provide a more user-friendly end result or making the links actually clickable to interact with the viewer would be nice.
Edit: If it's happening in world, then it's a viewer bug - it should show you the profile link of the user whose UUID is mentioned. Case in point:

Rathgrith027 Resident Yes, I know that, still of zero practical use as to originator.

Some do. Most do not.
That was a copy and pasted of the notification. Can’t argue with that.

Inworld that would display the name properly. Sounds like an issue on your side.

Which viewer are you using? That link should appear as a username.

Note: This only happens in the email and not inworld.

Silverdown Seetan. That was copied and pasted from an message in world. Hence the time stamp!!!

AAngel Braveheart Before I responded I tested it with firstorm main version and lastest beta and the offical SL viewer with online and offline gifted from my own vendor item with a alt account it only did not show a username in the offline email. It also showed a offline timestamp as well. But that was my testing end result.

Silverdown Seetan. It is still sending me SLURL and coded usernames and NOT ‘my side’ as it is the FS viewer that you are using.
