Display Name Changes Without the 7-Day Wait

Currently, you can only change your nickname/display name once a week. What if instead you could change it as many times as you want by paying a small Linden fee, rather than having to wait 7 days each time?
I’m pretty sure thousands of residents would love this option. It gives people more flexibility and also creates an optional revenue stream a win-win.

This idea has been brought up before by another resident, and we are merging your comments to get to it faster. The original request was tracked under issue number BUG-226945 in Second Life's previous bug tracking system. We have no estimate when it may be implemented, but please keep an eye on future updates. Danielle Atheria How can you be griefing by changing display name? And in what way are they "coming back"? Their username remains the same unless they pay to change that too. And even if they change that, their UUID remains the same, and any bans on land, or block-listing in the viewer, still is in effect. That said, I'm not personally a fan of people changing their names all the time - that's personal opinion though, I wouldn't force it on others to respect that.
