Enable users to close their own support tickets

Sometimes we are told to make a support ticket for something and then the issue suddenly appears to be grid wide and not something individual. Or a situation is solved in the mean time but the ticket will stay open. This gives unnecessary backlog. Can we get the possibility to close a ticket ourselves?

Odd enough, today I found the little 'v' box at the top of pending tickets, which allowed me to close them. If I overlooked it for so long, maybe its label should be [close ticket] rather than [v].
