Feature Request: Function llInventoryObjectCoalesced()
tracked
Kyle Linden
Information
This feature request is for the function:
integer llInventoryObjectCoalesced(string name)
returns TRUE if name is an inventory object and is a coalesced object, else returns FALSE
Currently we have no means of distinguishing if an inventory object is coalesced or not.
Scripts can rez either, but coalesced objects come with additional caveats depending on their cluster size and child object placement.

This really should have been a feature of llGetInventoryType, but its a lot late now.
Yeah, seeing is an invObj is coalesced would be good.

Kadah Coba: Or even better: llRequestInventoryData, returning a CSV response with the objects estimated LI (if at all possible), and number of component objects (1 for regular non-coalesced objects, >1 for coalesced).
And down the road, maybe figure out a good way to actually represent that cluster size and child object placement (eg. bounding box extents).
