Hours clocked inworld since opening avatar account
Kyrie Deka
It occurs to me I might like to know the total number of hours I have clocked e.g. on this avi, inworld. And then come to think of it, I might be interested to know that number of other avis. I have never seen a way to pull that yet, but I haven't looked much for it. The number of days since I opened any account name is far less meaningful, as I can leave for years and years and then come back and know nothing about changes and how to use the site and it seems very misleading to users (especially newbies) to see a 15 year avatar and believe they are near expert knowledge, etc. The number of hours I have clocked inworld live, actually using the system and flexing with upgrades while still familiar with the old-school being used, is certainly more meaningful. Asking if there is a way to pull that number, or if that could be made available? Thanks.

This figure is pretty pointless for anyone who leaves their client online 24/7 (like I used to do, for the best part of a decade straight). I get the same thing on Steam — there's a game I've been running basically as a screen saver, ever since it was released; the "hours in game" shown are utterly ridiculous, and don't have any relation at all of the much smaller number of hours I spend actually playing it (typically an hour or two in a day, at most).

OMG No! I do not want to know how many hours of my life I've spent here. If you do add this feature, make it opt-IN only, please. o.O

I doubt that number is tracked by the Lindens, alas.
I'm curious about my hours too, my avatar is over 18, so a number of the order of 50K hours is plausible. But i've had periods of not logging in, balanced by spells of long days when working on a project, so I really don't have a clue. Be fun to know. Think of the bragging rights! (which the robots would always win. And think of the divorrce cases, where the nuber might be used in evidence :-)
Fun idea.
