I also agree that the current is too low but 1000 is also too much, I can see it being used in a bad way.

Not 1000 though. 100-200 is fine.

can do this by packaging the items in a prim. this is a luxury/laziness request. not up voting it. there are many more important things needed in SL.

To reduce the chance of person-on-person griefing, please consider a preference setting that is able to limit accepting folders to a chosen maximum contents size.

While 42 is not always the answer, 1000+ is not practical either, at the point you are trying to pass a 1000 items to someone, boxing it and passing the box is preferable. Not everyone will want an instant 1K hit. I think that maybe 100 items could be considered, as I have had to have multiple folders passed to me many times over the years to deal with the smaller limit.
