New Feature - Merge avatars / merge accounts

I have 3 avatars but only use one at a time. I wish I could combine the 3 avatars into one so I could have all the inventory in one.
It could look like choosing which avatar you want to keep. This then remains as an account (name, friends, account). The other avatars will then disappear or be deleted, only the inventory will then appear in the main avatar. The friends list of the old avatars no longer exists.
Through this function, Linden Lab would no longer have so many "corpses" that are no longer used.
You can also charge money for the service of combining avatars. I would pay up to $100 just to have everything in one.

I've been thinking of this idea for a while, would be so handy. I have 2 avatars that I use but 1 less. I miss using it or at least the Inventory mostly. I'd love the option to merge accounts and would even pay100$ or more to do so. Wouldn't get crazy with a huge amount but even 200$. I like the idea someone had as well about being able to Access the inventory between the accounts, instead of merging too -for those who wouldn't want a full merge. With so many changes over the years, stores closing etc. it would just be nice to be able to access outfits, accessories, hairs from my old account to my new account. I'd likely be one up for Merging because I miss my avatars too from the old account.
I imagine you'd have to have like a 2 inventory system so it's easy to tell which is coming from which account.
Groups/Friends - unsure on how to handle that one. I know on my old account I have friends who haven't logged in in ages but I keep them there because I'm still fond of memories and maybe one day they might login.
I can see a Linden marked this as tracked in 2025, I don't know where the idea sits but hope it's still being in consideration.

It sounds great, but when there are hundreds of Second Life accounts 'for sale' on third party sites with inventories full of brands, there would be nothing to prevent someone just buying a couple of these for not very much, and merging them all.

would be good idea , when creating an Scripted Agent so you dont have to re purchase items to dress them

It sounds like a good idea but this would be a nightmare for merchants and sales systems

I don't support this idea because the implication of no-transfer is that the asset is not transferable between accounts (who the owner of the account is, is irrelevant).

I do not support this idea. The result will -> you can buy only no copy items at the future. And the Linden Lab needs to listen for the law. So this is a died idea.

This feature seems promising,
Not only pay fee for merge account. Submit a request tixket and concierge will verify 3 levels of security checks to make sure its indeed "you". Account security questions, 5 previous purchases, email via code, and even RL birthday. Oh, amd for accounts that has the MIA security connection to thwor smart phones

Because many people probably misunderstand this - it's a nice to have, not a must. Nobody HAS to merge their avatars, only those who want to.

I agree with this feature, or at least a feature that allows inventory sharing between avatars (on the condition that the end-user has to agree that both accounts belong to them and that sharing or transfer to another person can result in account termination).

NaluriMurai Lust Very good idea! For example, you could verify yourself with 2-factor authentication. And the feature is only for those who actually want it. It is not necessary to combine your avatars. Those who are tired of having multiple avatars and want everything in one, or simply want to reduce avatars without losing inventory.
