New Locations and Landmarks

On land moves whether it be a store or a place of interest, it would be nice if there is a way to route your client to your new location Via the original Landmark that the client already has. Myself as a person that tries to go to a store/club that has turned out to have moved this can get frustrating. I would think there could be a way to link the old Landmark SLURL to the new location. I'm really not sure if this can be done somehow but it sure would be nice.

I most commonly have an issue with an outdated LM when I use a LM that is in my inventory to try to return to a store. It's more trouble to resovle than may be obvious because I must find out whether the store has moved or gone out of business, usually by looking for information the owner's profile.

Thanks for taking the time to write up this request about being able to “redirect” older Landmarks to a store/club’s new location after they move—so residents don’t keep landing at an empty parcel or the wrong place.
We found this is a duplicate of an older request from Second Life’s previous bug tracking system (the Jira archive):
BUG-229673
(often discussed as “dynamic/updateable landmarks”). Because it’s already been raised there, we’re going to set your report to Tracked
and link it up so all feedback stays consolidated in one place. We don’t have an ETA to share, but adding your use case (stores/clubs relocating and existing LMs becoming stale) helps illustrate the impact. Please keep an eye on future updates, and feel free to add any extra details (examples, how often you run into it, where you most commonly see it—LM givers, Marketplace links, etc.) to help us evaluate the request.
