Please re-open the Scripted Agents board
Bavid Dailey
The tiny Empire posting and the strong support it received was dismissed in a manner that can only be described as cavalier, despite the submitted evidence showing that it was a massive abuse of common resources.
Bad enough, but to then to close the board was, in my opinion, a very disrespectful act.
Please re-consider the closure and please, please at least respond to the very real concerns about the tiny empire abuse with an explanation as to why it is tolerated?

I've been watching this with not too much concern in the past, at least when the bots showed up in one place only for 15-30 minutes a day, and not necessarily every day, and each Tiny Empires bot had 25 scripts, I thought this wasn't a huge problem when broken down to the regions that they used for this (given that they only stayed for 15-30 minutes). There were occasional TE bot camps in regions where they stayed on public land for days, filling or nearly filling the avatar capacity. And then there are landowners who keep their TE bots on their parcels 24/7 and even if they don't lock anyone out of these regions because they don't keep so many bots there at once, the problem seems to have grown further.
Some people now have bots stored on tiny parcels (ad parcel size) in Mainland regions, the numbers vary, but they usually have 10-12 bots online at the same time, per region, and the same people do this in multiple regions. These bots are labeled as both Tiny Empires and Tiny Empires 3000 "players", which seems to double their script count (up to 56 from the previous 25), however when I scanned them the first time, each had 94 scripts, and one in each region had more than 100. These scripts are also quite active and heavy, so not just idling and taking the memory allocation, but they double or triple the region's script events per second (EPS) rate compared to when they are not present in the region. It is even difficult to assume good intentions in these cases, because we know TE doesn't require the players be logged in 24/7, hence real players and their bots normally only spend about 30 minutes online a day, if they only do what the game requires. What is the reason for others keeping their bots, supposedly serving the same purpose but being much more heavily scripted, staying online all the time, while they add 1000 to 2000 script events per second to the region's script load?

I say we should do as was asked. Submit individual support tickets (not AR's) on each and every bot detected. Swamp the support queue just as the regions are being swamped. At that point someone may (!) wake up and realize, oh, this IS a problem.
As for LL deciding to archive the entire Scripted Agents board, that either was an egregious oversight or an intentional "we're no longer addressing bots on the platform as a thing to be managed" statement.
