Preview animation uploads on avatar instead of in window

It would be great to be able to preview a bvh animation on your actual avatar rather than in the upload window with a default shape. With mesh bodies changing the true shape of an avatar and not really being able to zoom in to look at the preview for small details like fingers and facial expressions can make it really easy to upload an errored animation. As firestorm currently allows for the bvh to be shown on the avatar itself, it'd be a nice feature to see added. If .anim files could be previewed as well even better!

Local mode for .anim for quick and easy testing in the viewer

Could we have a local mode (like with textures) for testing animations inworld?
I'm asking specifically for .anim, though improving it for .bvh would be good too. It would help with creating and testing inworld, being much quicker than uploading again and again.
I know there is a preview thing for .bvh, though that requires you to hit a "Reload file" button, monitoring the file updates would be preferable.
Thank you! =)

isn't the testgrid for that purpose?..
Nyx Onyx
Alwin Alcott The test-grid doesn't have local mode either. To elaborate: this is about a feature, in the same sense that we have local mode for textures. You edit the file on your local drive, the viewer picks up the change and shows the result of the update in the viewport. Without having to upload again and again, and again for each change. It's not about the cost, it's about ease of use, and quick iterations.

This would be great as the current uploader doesn't even show you any of the bones that were included in the binto bone update, if you are making animations for the wings for example you won't see that in the previewer.
There is no option to view the bones themselves and as stated the preview using the default avatar/scale does not reflect the character the animation is made for.
