It has been two years now since this very admirable feature request has been acknowledged, reported as a bug in the service provider's software, not LL's software, and yet has not been fixed.

Meanwhile, indeed there are certain forums regulars who continue to harass and heckle people they know have blocked them by responding to their with a jeer -- a "confused" look -- or an obnoxious "smiley".

If the current forums software LL is using can't remove this, find a new software. Anyone who is blocked should not be able to keep harassing and heckling those he dislikes. If blocking is to be a successful tool -- and it isn't really, as anyone can quote-post a blocked user and then their content shows up in the view again -- it has to remove the view of smilies as well, put there as a form of griefing very often.

The user is not deprived of their right to have a reaction to any post they wish. It is not about making people "tilt at windmills". It's about making those who continually kick people's legs to make them fall down not be able to do that again. What they are deprived of is their facility to out of someone they are heckling. Once they are invisible, they get no reaction they seek by poking and jabbing. The behaviour of putting reactions of hate and derision on every post will disappear gradually.

Haven't seen any notifications from those I've put on Ignore that I can recall. Now if you mean the ability to react at all should be removed .... Why bother? Let them tilt at windmills.
