Rolling Restarts : increase the timer for Skill Gaming Regions

Residents currently receive pop-ups starting 120 seconds before Rolling Restarts.
This timing often prevents players from finishing a game or causes them to play poorly and quickly, fearing they'll lose money.
This leads to discontent and refund requests.
The problem could be solved with a 300-second timer.

Regardless of how long the timer is: add a restarting(integer seconds) event so that scripts can be made aware that they may need to refuse further games, save info, or whatever else needs to be done.

GaiaGabe SLSGO, I was able to confirm that the rolling restart countdown is already at 5 minutes. looking at the latest rolling restarts for one of your regions, I see broadcasted messages like, with a few warnings sent as the countdown goes on:
2025-09-23 06:57:58 Region "GAIA GAMES II" will restart in 5 minutes. If you stay in this region, you will be logged out
...
2025-09-23 07:02:43 Region "GAIA GAMES II" will restart in 15 seconds. If you stay in this region, you will be logged out
Can you point at a specific rolling restart (region name and date) in which you saw different behavior?
Otherwise, it occurred to me that you might be thinking about the 'Restart Region' button in Region/Estate tools, which can be used to restart a region manually. The button does default to a 120 seconds countdown. The viewer does specify a 120 countdown time to the simulator, but doesn't provide a way to customize that in the UI. One can trigger a restart with a custom delay using the region debug console ( https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Region_Debug_Console ):

Strange, EVERY rolling restart warning popup I've had in the last TEN YEARS has been a FIVE MINUTE warning.
Also, THREE accounts all supporting the same claim all with SLSGO as a last name, and upvoted by EIGHT SLSGO's, somebody turn on the "Sockpuppet Detector".

Zalificent Corvinus I have NEVER seen a 5 minute warning on a Linden Lab rolling restart. In owner started restarts yes, but never a LL rolling restart. And yes, makes sense that the SLSGO's would be commenting as they are the ones who get nailed by the refund requests because of the quick restarts and players not being able to finish their games.

I agree! In the past, I’ve often had to rush to finish a game because of a rolling restart. We also have to consider that some users are physically disabled, with restricted muscle movement, which makes them operate the viewer much more slowly.

Along with this, it would be nice if scripts had access to if the region is in countdown mode and what amount of time left there is so applications can be scripted to make accommodations before/during use.

120 seconds is objectively very limited; some players play a game very quickly, but it's also true that some players take longer, and this could affectively annoy players who are used to their pace.
Increasing it to 300 seconds is also fair, in my opinion.

Agreed, this would greatly improve the user experience and reduce frustration
