Search within coalesced items

Many times our items are returned to us as a coalesced group and then, sometime later, we can't find a critical item in our inventory and suspect that it might be within a coalesced group but have no ability to do a simple search to find that missing item- without having to rez multiple different coalesced groups trying to find the missing item.
There should be a simple way to search inventory from within the inventory window to locate an item that is a hidden part of a coalesced group.
If a global coalesced inventory search is impractical, there should be a way to right-click on a coalesced group to easily view a listing of the names of all of the coalesced items within that group without having to rez anything.

That can not be done, the coalesced is a set of data pointers, the assets are spread across the data files as UUID pointers. It is a kin to seperating and identifying ingredients in a banquet.

steph Arnott,
Logically speaking, if the assets can be rezzed then they can be listed.
Just need a subroutine to follow the pointers and grab the data.
It can be done but might take a bit more than just a viewer tweak.

Logically speaking, you could simply put the stuff in a rezzer box as backup, Rezz2 is free and simwide capable.

That would be amazing...

Problem is, if you name the group, all the items have that name. Not sure if the item's data still includes the original name.

Kira Skydancer,
I believe that you are thinking of grouped items as opposed to coalesced.
