More time for the exhibitions and "use" of it to keep the residents along the summer busy and take it for Marketing.
The SLB-event is one/the central yearly event in SLB.
There are a lot other awesome events ones, too - I don't wanna "declassify" any of them, but the SLB is kinda central, include a lot work from many residents, too ... and is controlled and sponsored (eg. the costs for the Sims) by LL.
I, as resident, try to participate in all offered activities:
* Events with Lindens/Moles
* Music Fest
* various Hunts
* exhibitions
* Shop&Hop
But doing it in the 4 or 5 weeks, beside RL, beside regular SL-activities ... while maybe having just 1-2 hours the day for SL ... is stressful.
Beside of the other activities, I barely made it to just take pictures the exhibitions ... but not find time to get in touch with them.
Actually the Event have 2 timed states:
* 1 or 2 weeks "active": Festival with Music and LL-staff
* 2 or 3 weeks "chilling": No special events, but still running.
Then it is been taken down.
After that, the awesome work of residents at the exhibitions is gone - same as them of the Moles ... and as them are contract workers and be paid for work (you could use at other public works), you can say "Time is cash, Time is Money". So it would be nothing wrong with to use that invested money a bit more.
The idea would be adding a 3rd "state", for example "conserved":
* After the regular 4-5 weeks, the "Shop&Hop" becomes switched off.
* The event Sims (in 2024 them was appear to be all "Event Sim"-class, so 170 people and more script-power) ... become switched to "normal" Sims (mainland class, 40 people ... so far I see, the number of prims/LI is same at event and normal).
The Sims can stay up until the next "big thing" (Halloween).
While this time, additional and new (?) activities can take advance of the area.
