I’d love to see the available last-name pool expanded, with more names that feel like realistic surnames.

My own experience is that I’ve wanted to change my Second Life surname for some time now, but I’ve struggled to find anything that feels suitable because the current choice is so limited. Many of the available names seem more like adjectives, nouns, or novelty words than surnames I would realistically want to use as part of my avatar’s identity.

I understand that quirky and unusual names can be fun and should absolutely remain an option, but it would be great to have a much wider selection of realistic surnames as well.

Could future name releases include more traditional and contemporary surnames from a range of cultures and languages, and perhaps a larger pool overall? At the moment, it can feel difficult to find a name that sounds natural, suits a character or business identity, and feels like something you would want to keep long term.

A broader mix of realistic and creative names would give residents much more freedom to choose something that genuinely fits them.
