It would be nice for them to be able to purchase half an island at the cost of 60 a month. This could be done as non private, you would make more cash on the land purchased and I feel more members would be happier with this option. You could make it so they could not parcel it off and sell pieces. If sold it has to be as a whole 1/2. Of course I do not know the ins and outs so not sure if this is even possible. However I have spoken to many people who just want to enjoy the space and not necessarily make money. More or less build a place and if they come great if not great too your having fun doing it.

It's an interesting idea. Currently PP members can buy 1/2 Homestead but the cost is still too high for me. It only works if you either have a substantial income or rent parcels for commercial or private use. I'd love to be able to have a separate small (non-mainland) parcel just for my own use. It could even have a non-commercial requirement (private use, no stores/clubs, etc), AFAIC.

Fionne Burleigh Nobody can purchase half of a private region from linden lab, homestead or otherwise. It isn't technically possible. A region is always 65,536 square meters.
The homestead offering itself though is the reduced cost product. I think the only option for a reduced area parcel (32,768) is to rent from a resident estate. The only estate where linden lab does this model is mainland.

Timothy McGregor technically you are correct, but it's half of the LI for the same amount of area.

It would be nice to have more land options and having a lower cost with lower tier would be awesome.
