South Sansara Coastline
tracked

At the moment, South Sansara has almost zero protected coastlines, except for a few around the rentable "Elements" regions near Bellisseria.
On the World Map, Sansara already appears to have such a coast, but it actually doesn't. The entire coastline is overdeveloped with private parcels and ban lines. No provision of a Protected Waterway was ever made.
Boat-owning parcel owners on this faux "coast" are basically trapped within their own parcels with no direct access to open seas.
A southern coastline would give the Snowlands regions full north and south accessibility to boats and aircraft.
Chamonix City could be encircled with a perimeter of protected water channels/regions, while allowing space for Chamonix City to expand further, should it wish to do so in the future.
A southern coastline would link to existing protected coastlines north of Chamonix City that extend further north along the Snowlands, the Vehicle Testing Sandboxes, to Nova Albion, Bay City, the ANWR Channel and Heterocera continent.
Please consider building Sansara a fit and proper southern coastline, something it has never had for the last 23+ years and is long overdue for.

so okay I normally never post on these but as a resident in the snow lands at the boarder I would have to push back on this. like hard full stop. as someone who has spent almost 6 solid years in second life one thing I learned is protected and infinite sea boarders are a big deal to some.
what does that mean? for one the structure of paying for land, land has always been a high price tag for the endless sea. why? because its VIP access. its the location that you pay for, personally I paid a very high price to have such an area. if the boarder is now opened up that value is now lost and it in a sense looses that value of the land. its in away unique, take that away and the unique part of it goes away to just another water way
speaking of water way, as someone who is on every day, night, different hour combos there is just not enough traffic to warrant that big change. maybe some want a place that is different, unique, special, adding a water way into that zone is going to turn it into other places around the map. why? leave certain areas alone to keep that type of atmosphere. there is so many other places around the map to add water ways. what I hate to see is a cooker cutter style of land.
then there is the traffic, all that man power and hours put into opening that boarder up and for what? the whole point of me saying about the hour part is there really is not enough traffic around those areas. so in the process your going to devalue that unique parts that residents paid for just to have a couple boats or people come and enter. I honestly feel the bad out ways the good.
I chose to live in the snowlands at the boarder because of the unique endless sea. take that away and its just another area that loses it identity. so with that...
I ask dont just blindly vote because you can, I hope other residents of the snow land boarders come on here and voice their opinion. yall have the whole second life map, please dont change it because (You) want it. it will also affect the rest of us.
perhaps do some of the coast line but the whole thing? I personally feel where this should have went was to get everyone who lives on the coast line to vote and have a voice, not just random second life residents because they now want change. no we live down there and it would affect us. so just keep that in mind..

xXEternalBlissXx Spooky There's no traffic there now because there's no traffic route available!
It would be a completely different story if such a coastal route were open right now and were not being used and wasted.
And we are only talking of a water-only coastline in which up to 20 people per time can use as they bypass your region in boats to get to another.

This is a marvelous idea. There is more than enough buffer room between the snow lands and many of the private estates to add something like a mini Blake Sea in addition to a navigable coast line beyond the snow lands.
There could be lots of open water sims, small islands with points of interest on them like Half Hitch, Siren's Isle and Crows Nest in the Blake Sea. But these would obviously need to be snow related.
There could be a small Arctic research station, drifting icebergs crossing multiple sims, a rocky icy outcrop with penguins. There could be a sim or 2 covered in sea ice breaking apart with polar bears. I could go on and on.
Anyway, great idea.

Hello Sarah! Thank you for the suggested additions to the Sansara coast. We are currently reviewing locations for any additional water homesteads on mainland coastlines. We are marking this as tracked for future consideration. Thanks again!
