Just to be sure my point won't be misunderstood, I'm not a big fan of "skill gaming" which is purely gambling, so this "Skill Gaming is Breaking Out Grid-Wide" announcement was really weird to me and I'm not happy about it. To be honest I am not outraged by it either or anything, I don't think it will have a serious effect on anything.

I upvoted this request because it does feel contrary to the purpose of Linden Homes to allow casinos or tucked away slot machines there, in fact for about 6 years the Lab kept telling us that Linden Homes were , even roleplaying offices (like police stations, post offices, etc) got eradicated in Bellisseria, but also "gas stations" (where there was only a fuel pump in front of a house, but the fuel pump got returned) and cafes weren't allowed at all. Meanwhile LL willingly turned nice public spots into the BBB's newest offices. Double standard at its best.

Then they eventually made the Ridgewood Enclave Commercial thing, the ugliest warehouse district abomination. Why only 6 years after Bellisseria's inception, why in such a poor design and how does it even make sense on an estate that is called Linden Homes? I think that was a mistake in this form, it could have been done better, way sooner and more sensibly.

So I do agree that gambling has no place in Bellisseria, BUT let's not forget about Mainland either. It makes sense if a private region doesn't have to be a registered skill gaming region now in order to host registered skill gaming devices. This way private region owners can decide for themselves if they want to allow it or not. I'm fine with that. However Mainland regions are just like Bellisseria in the sense that the region owner is LL, there is no active control in who might place what in any region. Most of Mainland is residential as well, there are homes here, you can travel through many regions on roads and waterways and not see any store, airport, industrial depot, etc. Sadly there aren't enough gas stations in some areas! However there is really no need for casinos in any Mainland region, just like there is no need for those fishing games that lure dozens of people to the region at once, often on a small parcel, and they fill the region's avatar capacity, even for several hours.

My point is that if LL is to impose an explicit restriction of skill gaming in Bellisseria to protect it from the invasion of casinos, the same should be done on Mainland as well for the same reason.

Idk how they've been getting away with calling 'gambling', "skill gaming" anyways. Especially during the gambling bans that were going on for awhile.

The residential covenant first paragraph may also want to reference the "Plus" account, as those subscribers can claim a 512 m2 LH.
