Widen the LL Bridge at Fishers Rest region on Circuit La Corse

The LL made bridge on Corsica, located at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fishers%20Rest/51/236/32 is too narrow for a lot of larger land vehicles to pass through easily. With the increasing popularity of GTFO and Drivers of SL, more residents are using the roads than ever before, and this bridge is often singled out as being an issue. The protected LL parcel on which the bridge sits has at least 2 metres of additional space to the side, which is enough space to allow the bridge to be widened. As the bridge is mainly built with prims, it would be a simple matter of moving one side of the railings across to the east by 2m, then stretching the underlying base sections by 2m and re-scaling the textures. This would make it much easier for driving residents to use this bridge, whilst still retaining its original design and aesthetics.

We totally agree. The bridge there is definitely a challenge for anything but the smallest of vehicles and poses a significant impediment to most other traffic. We are going to see what we can do to improve this situation while keeping to the spirt and historic aspect of the original work.

well could take inspiration from RL bridge upgrades and do a sort of "resurfacing" a new more sensible deck that is straighter and wider laid on the old foundations.. so the foundation remains the same but the road is more usable. it could even have new railings inspired by the old..

I support this request, as the bridge represents a significant pinch-point to vehicle traffic on an otherwise clear and heavily used route, and is straightforward to amend while retaining the art and spirit of the original asset.
Indeed, as with other mainland infrastructure, I am perfectly happy to do the work myself if the task is approved for action !
