Almost always after logging out - with the log out option, not by closing/force closing the app - almost invariably my avatar will still show online for up to 15 minutes. People can repeatedly message me during that 15 minutes without offline notification, so it's not like when sometimes a friend shows online when some miscommunication between the server and the other persons viewer they show as offline.

What I observe is that for a time of about ten minutes after logging off from mobile a login via PC viewer will get stuck and eventually fail at "Connecting to region". Logging to a different region usually succeeds as a workaround.
So whatever the mobile client logout is, it seems to be somewhat incomplete these days.

Hi Thern! Logging out via Menu > [tap your name] > Sign out will log out you out immediately. If you have Notifications enabled (Menu > Settings > Notifications) you will receive push notifications when signed out. Is this what you are experiencing?

Bridie Linden "Logging out via Menu > [tap your name] > Sign out will log out you out immediately." that is what I meant by "the log out option". Well, Im, as per the description persistently (probably everytime I log in and out mobile) experiencing it not working as intended!
I timed it three times in a row:
First session: 25 minutes between pressing log out in the menu and alts/people seeing "Thern Lorefield is offline".
Second session: 22 minutes.
Third session: 5 minutes. (So fast!)
Messages sent to me during the wait didnt go to notifications. (They did however show up in chat history after logging in again. But not as messages received while offline.)
When I open the SL app - before or after seeing "Thern Lorefield is offline." I get the error "You have been logged out of Second Life - Unable to reconnect, your avatar has been logged out of Second Life." (Well duh, thats what I asked the app to do half an hour ago!).

Thern Lorefield: Thanks for your reply! Can you confirm that you're using the latest version on Android (2025.7.560)? Could you also try signing out, then filing a bug report via the gear in the top right corner of the login screen?

I also have this problem - however I also believe that closing the app should log out the avatar (Or provide a separate "Go offline" option) too as the logout option is a bit painful for those of us with 2FA enabled
