On average, there are over 50 avatars in our region all day, every day. The peak is 70-80 avatars at once. Because of this, we have noticed some performance issues that have been negatively affecting our events.
We restart our region daily, which only momentarily fixes the issues until later in the day when the symptoms return. These include:
  • Friends list not updating
  • Appearing offline when you're online
  • People who are not in the region being unable to IM you
  • HUDs not working/Scripts beginning to fail
  • Group conferences/chats not working
  • Group notices failing
  • Not receiving messages from objects/attachments
When all of these symptoms appear and the sim is significantly struggling, it will crash. We have managed to keep the daily crashes from happening by restarting daily, however the symptoms are still there. This has caused us a lot of frustration not just as region owners but for our guests as well. It is starting to turn people away which is exactly what we don't want happening.
Can we please have our region looked into? I'd like some information on why this is happening, and what we can do to stop it.
